HLTAID001

The Paramedical Services Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001) course provides students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

Course duration

Option 1: The Paramedical Services Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001) course is conducted face-to-face over 4 hours which includes didactic and practical sessions. The recommended industry standard to maintain current competency for Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation is every 12 months.

Option 2: The Paramedical Services Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001) course is conducted with an online video lecture, followed by face-to-face over 2 hours which includes a practical session. The recommended industry standard to maintain current competency for Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation is every 12 months.
