Senior First Aid Certificate
VETAB (NSW Vocational Education and
Training Accreditation Board) and NSW WorkCover accreditation
(FA 9214), Certificate Course of instruction detailing the emergency management and care
of the sick and injured under the Occupational Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulation
1989.
SUBJECTS COVERED:
Principles of first aid, basic
human anatomy and physiology, examination of a casualty, cardiopulmonary resuscitation,
control of bleeding, management, of the shocked casualty, management of fractures,
management of soft tissue injuries, management of bums and scalds, management of eye
injuries, management of chest injuries, management of the unconscious, casualty,
management of common medical, emergencies (including heart attack, stroke, asthma,
diabetes and epilepsy), management of environmental exposure hypo and hyperthermia,
general principles for the management of acute poisoning, venomous bites and stings.
DURATION: 18 Hours
Advanced Resuscitation
A
VETAB (NSW Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board) accredited
training course. This program is open to all students holding a current
Senior First Aid Certificate from an accredited provider. The course
includes a revision of basic CPR skills the use and maintenance of
the Oxy-Viva III (or equipment unique to your organisation), use of
artificial airways and complications associated with the use of advance
resuscitation equipment SUBJECTS COVERED
Review adult anatomy and physiology, Basic Life Support
skills, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and Hypoxia. Introduction
to the MARS Resuscitator, Oxy - Viva Mark III, Oxygen
resuscitators complying to AS2488 and Artificial Airways
& Suction.

Child Care First Aid
An
18 hour VETAB Accredited Course of instruction detailing the emergency management and care
of infants and children

This is the only VETAB ( NSW Vocational Education & Training
Accreditation Board) accredited Course in Child Care First Aid in Australia.
This course was designed for Child Care workers and Child carers and
exceeds the Department of Community Services (DOCS) guidelines for first aid.
Certificate valid for three (3) years.

important differences between adult and child anatomy and physiology, Basic Life Support
Skills, C.P.R, Control of bleeding and shock, Fractures and soft tissue injuries,
