The Senior First Aid training is a VETAB (NSW Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board) and NSW WorkCover recognised Certificate Course. This course educates participants on emergency management and care of the sick and injured under the Occupational Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulation 2001, and is suitable for people in both workplaces and those within the community.

  • Control of bleeding
  • Management of the shocked casualty
  • Management of fractures
  • Management of soft tissue injuries

  • Management of eye injuries
  • Management of chest injuries
  • Management of the unconscious
  • Management of casualty
  • Management of common medical emergencies (including heart attack, stroke, asthma, diabetes and epilepsy)
  • Management of environmental exposure hypo and hyperthermia
  • General principles for the management of acute poisoning, venomous bites and stings.
