Ventricular Fibrillation (VF) is a life threatening condition which is best treated by a Defibrillator. Paramedical Services is the first organisation to have developed and accredited a semi-automatic Defibrillation (SAD) Course by VETAB. This one day program has been developed to train participants in the competent use of any brand of SAD.
Subjects covered:
This training introduces emergency rescue personnel to the care and assistance of the sick and injured in the pre-hospital field. Participants are provided with the knowledge and skills to safely perform the prescribed range of functions. This involves predetermined routines and procedures in the area of basic cardiac and trauma life support, in order to deal with the early care of the sick and injured, prior to the arrival of emergency medical professionals (flying doctor,helicopter retrieval services, ambulance services).
