The Child Care First Aid training is a 1 day VETAB Accredited Course of instruction detailing the emergency management and care of infants and children. This course was designed for Child Care workers and Child carers and is recognised by the Department of Community Services (DOCS) guidelines for first aid. This certificate is valid for three (3) years.

Inside this training you will learn:

  • The important differences between adult and child anatomy and physiology
  • Basic Life Support Skills
  • C.P.R, Control of bleeding and shock
  • Fractures and soft tissue injuries
  • Management of the unconscious child
  • Paediatric Medical Emergencies including Burns & scalds, Eye injuries, Bites and Stings, and Poisoning.
